A book I "read"

I just finished listening to Doesn't She Look Natural by Angela Hunt. Not great literature, but it spoke to me about a few things. They were fairly small things in the story, but they jumped out to me. Things I needed to see. One was a reminder to "assume positive intent" or if that is too difficult to at least not assume negative intent and to be less defensive. The other was to honor my mother in better ways than I have at times in the past.

Day 3

We aren't doing a lesson on Wednesday's because the kids go to Grandma's Wednesday morning. We did a lesson Thurday morning. We talked about the letter A. DD said her name starts with a A (DS was a little upset that we weren't doing his letter today also). We looked for A's around the house. We glued beans on this page. We read The Cow Who Wouldn't Come Down and Hey Diddle Diddle.

Day 2

Tuesday we talked about squares. We measured to see that the sides were equal. We looked at right angles and other angles. We found squares around the house.
We read Cows Can't Fly and Raising Cows on the Koebels' Farm.

Letter of the Week - Day 1

This week we started doing the Letter of the Week Preparatory Curriculum.
On Monday we looked at a picture of a cow and learned what a calf is. We read The Cow That Went Oink and some of Cows by Jules Older.
We sang Old McDonald had a bull, cow and calf.
And we crawled around the living room like cows.
DS was not as attentive as DD, but she REALLY enjoyed it.

New Blog

I created this blog because I wanted to comment on a blog...not sure if I will use it yet.
